Expedition Trip Details

We are John and Ana, a Romanian globetrotting couple, architects in our early 30s. In June 2011 we unplugged from our career and became nomads. We travel by motorbike and wild camp in a 4 sqm tent. In 420 days we rode 55,000 kilometres in 30 countries: Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Morocco (incl. Western Sahara province), Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, Republic of Congo, The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zambia, Namibia, South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan, Egypt, Turkey, and Bulgaria. During our journey we worked as volunteers in Nigeria, climbed Mt. Cameroon crossed Congo and the Sahara, battled malaria, temperatures of over 54�C, a hippo, scorpions and Tsetse flies.
