Expedition Trip Details
�Maggie� is a 1991 Land Rover Defender 200tdi, an Iron Lady who has travelled through Africa a whopping 6 times with several different owners.
Current owners and (relatively) newlyweds Noel and Lulu are planning to take Maggie on her 7th trip through Africa in 2016. Our trip will span 19 countries from Cape to Cairo!
We will start in Gaborone, Botswana (where Maggie is living) and spend time in Johannesburg, Windhoek and Cape Town giving her a make over with new parts and equipment before setting off, destination Ethiopia. From there, we hope to make it to Cairo and back to the UK via Eastern / Central Europe!
In 2010, Noel and sidekick Reka drove Maggie from London to South Africa, in an epic trip detailed here: http://www.africa-overland.net/Bio-201-Nomad-Adventure
